From the very first day, George was never more than a few feet away — my steadfast office companion, my lunch break buddy, my reason to take a walk even on the hardest days. We built a life together in the quiet moments: the gentle weight of him settling beside me while I worked, the way he’d look up with those soulful eyes, the comfort of simply being together.

George had a personality bigger than his little body. Playful until the very end, stubborn beyond belief (he always knew exactly what he wanted), and absolutely devoted to his favorite spot — snuggled up in bed between us. Those nights with him curled up close were some of the sweetest moments of our lives. And his peppermint obsession? It became one of those quirks we couldn’t help but love, always making us smile.

George taught me what it means to be fully present, to find happiness in the smallest moments, to love without reservation. Every day with him was a gift — one I never took for granted, but somehow still wasn’t enough time.
